- A river represents God’s love flowing from Him to us and back to Him.
- The rain is like God’s mercy, and the sea represents God, and the river is where the love flows to us.
- Large rivers represent the Manifestations.
- Small rivers represent priests or learned Bahá’ís.
- Tiny streams represent people.
- Canals represent very strong people with no love.
- The creatures in rivers represent all the people the being who the river represents knows.
- The plants represent the spiritual life of that being.
- People crossing the river represent people in higher worlds spiritually crossing the path of that being.
- The banks of the river represent the being’s relationship with God.
- Obstacles and pollution represent the tests and difficulties of that being.
- Reflections on the river represent the being reflecting the other worlds.
