‘Abdu’l-Bahá is reported to have said this about China:

China has most great capability. The Chinese people are most simple-hearted and truth-seeking… Truly, I say, the Chinese are free from any deceit and hypocrisies and are prompted with ideal motives… China is the country of the future.[1]

In the Bahá’í Writings, the world represents the human body, and expanding on this metaphor, the USA is the left arm and China is the right arm. The USA is so much more highly regarded than China in the world because the left (thought) is regarded more highly than the right (certitude). However, Bahá’u’lláh prayed for this for His servants: “cause them to turn away from the left hand of idle fancies and vain imaginings to the right hand of confidence and certitude”[2].

The world needs China to have a large population because the spiritual influence of the Chinese people is so benevolent for the human race.

China is one of the countries of the world which is most deeply influenced by the teachings of The Buddha.

The way that the Chinese language is tonal means it resonates with spiritual love in one’s heart.
