The Spirit of Places
Blessed is the spot, and the house, and the place, and the city, and the heart, and the mountain, and the refuge, and the cave, and the valley, and the land, and the sea, and the island, and the meadow where mention of God hath been made, and His praise glorified.[1].
The quote shows how worshipping God in a certain place causes it to become blessed. The way in which people worship God in a certain place also adds to the character of the place. This is why different countries have such diverse character, even when no people are around.
Accents are a physical manifestation of this phenomenon. The way in which people from different places worship God is reflected in the way they pronounce the words of their and other languages. Sounds in spoken language correspond to spiritual attributes.
