Some trees

The Material World

• Trees correspond to people, whereas plants correspond to animals. This is why we use different words for them and why they seem so different to us, because they are spiritually different.

• Each of us have trees in different parts of the globe that correspond to us. The correspondence is determined by things that happen in the other worlds. If they are cut down, we are often re-assigned other trees.
• The size of a tree or plant relates to the spiritual size of the animal or person it corresponds to, for example blades of grass often correspond to insects.
• Flowers represent things people or animals do to start relationships.
• Fruit represent the products of relationships.
• Photosynthesis is worship for plants.

The Next World

O MY SERVANTS! Ye are the trees of My garden; ye must give forth goodly and wondrous fruits, that ye yourselves and others may profit therefrom. Thus it is incumbent on every one to engage in crafts and professions, for therein lies the secret of wealth, O men of understanding!

In the next world, there is a tree that corresponds to each of us. The roots correspond to our strong love, and the branches correspond to our kind love. This is why kindness (to good people) is so important. The leaves correspond to our love of God. Flowers of this tree represent things we do to begin relationships. As Bahá'u'lláh said, fruits of this tree represent things we create for us and others to profit from.

Animals have a plant in the next world that corresponds to them.

The Third World

In the third world, we each have five trees, as explained in this article, and animals each have five plants, which are more or less the same but less spiritually high. These groups of five trees and plants correspond to each single tree and plant in the next world.
